Enviricard to Showcase Eco-Friendly Cards at Drupa 2024

Enviricard to Showcase Eco-Friendly Cards at Drupa 2024

28 May - June 7  week, we have had a fantastic time at Drupa on the Ricoh stand with Green Gift Cards, Magicard Ltd & Holmen board & paper in the spirit of HENKAKU.

What is HENKAKU?  It’s a Japanese word that means transformational innovation, the mojo, the energy, the secret spark for success if you like.

Co-innovation and working collaboratively, we can overcome challenges, create new solutions and benefit both society and and the environment through technology, innovations, sustainability, software and services.

That is precisely what we have done. By Co-innovating, we are creating a legacy of a world-class solutions to produce short-run, digitally printed gift, loyalty, membership, and other card applications and associated packaging that is revolutionising an industry, reducing waste, lowering environmental impact, and opening up endless creative possibilities.

Print on Demand

Over the past couple of days, we have been showcasing how Enviricard can be pre-printed and then overprinted on demand with a DTC desktop printer. Businesses can pre-print their cards with a generic design and then personalise them on-demand with a desktop printer. As demonstrated here:

In our demonstration on the Ricoh stand, we used a Magicard E+ desktop printer to showcase our new enviricard extended event card, which was used by Ricoh staff and guests on the stand during the event.  This card is exclusive and can only be purchased through Magicard.

The extended event card allows for a larger printing area and for clearer text and photo ID images that can be overprinted on demand. Perfect for ID badges, especially for events such as Drupa, where guests would turn up throughout the different days and require ID badges.

Our cards offer an excellent opportunity for businesses looking for a more sustainable way to produce ID cards, gift cards, and loyalty cards.

Enviricard Cards: A Sustainable Revolution

  • Customisation: The cards can be supplied blank or pre-printed with your branding, then overprinted, allowing for complete customisation.

DTC Compatibility for On-Demand Printing

As a company, we are passionate about revolutionising the plastic card industry with sustainable alternatives. But we don’t want to stop at just removing plastic. Our cards are designed for on-demand print with Direct-to-Card (DTC) desktop printers.

Enviricard's extended card world debut at Drupa is part of an exciting partnership with Ricoh and Magicard, and we are putting the spotlight on the events industry, where these cards will help to reduce the negative environmental impact of plastic cards and event badges all over the world. The Enviricards are compatible with most DTC desktop printers, enabling on-demand printing capabilities. This translates to several benefits for businesses and organisations:

  • Carbon reduction: enviricard helps organisations who are serious about meeting their net zero targets and reducing their plastic use.
  • Plain white or preprinted: enviricards can be supplied as plain stock that can be overprinted on-demand on one or both sides in mono and full colour the same way plastic cards can. Printed branding can also be applied to cards and badges when complex designs or higher volumes of base cards are required. These, too, can be overprinted on-demand in mono and full colour.
  • Faster Turnaround Times: On-demand printing eliminates the need for external printing services, resulting in quicker turnaround times.
  • Reduced Costs: By printing cards in-house, businesses can save on printing and outsourcing costs.
  • Eco-Friendly Option: Digital printing for base cards produces less waste, uses fewer products, and has a quicker turnaround, contributing to a smaller carbon footprint and environmental impact.
